Veterans Campaign is pleased to announce our second veterans campaign training workshop. It will be held on April 24th in Washington, D.C., and is generously being hosted by the George Washington University Graduate School of Political Management.
This non-partisan, non-ideological one-day campaign training event will be provided to a select group of veterans free-of-charge. This is an opportunity to learn from the best campaign operatives from all parts of the political spectrum and get the candid advice of current elected officials from all levels of government. Additionally, it is a chance to network with the instructors, 150 other like-minded veteran participants.
Participants are expected to cover the cost of their own travel and accommodations, however we have arranged a hotel discount and a subsidized catered breakfast and lunch. We will work with any candidate for whom cost would be prohibitive.
If you or someone you know is interested in applying for this opportunity, please visit or direct the interested parties to our online application. Even if you applied in the past, we would like you to provide us with some additional information (there is a space on the application to reference previous applications). While Veterans Campaign was originally founded on a first-come-first-serve basis of enrolling participants, due to the large volume of interested veterans we have shifted to an application process.
If you are an alumus/ae of our September 2009 workshop at Princeton, the event will feature similar content, however we will keep you posted on future alumni events which we are excitedly planning for!
Look around the website to learn more about our curriculum, frequently asked questions, or to see Veterans Campaign in the news.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us at apply@veteranscampaign.org.

In a November 10 Roll Call article "Member's Walk in Veterans' Boots", Veterans Campaign was recognized as the only nonpartisan veterans campaign training opportunity. The article begins by highlighting the worrying trend of the declining percentage of members of Congress with military service, which was the motivation behind founding Veterans Campaign. It goes on to remark on some of the benefits veterans bring to office and the stories of several Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, among others, serving in the 111th Congress.
